About Management

Mr. Surya brings a unique blend of creative and business expertise to the gaming education ecosystem. He holds a Diploma in 3D Animation and Visual Effects, specialising in Character Animation from Vancouver Film School (2003), and a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Trade from Nizam College.

With prior experience in the visual effects and gaming industry, he has navigated real-world challenges, built strong industry connections, and now leverages that experience to guide and empower students at Backstage Pass.

He strongly believes that with the right mentorship and tools, Indian game developers can succeed on the global stage.

Dr. Bala Krishna Annaluri is a distinguished academic in Game Development and Interactive Technologies. He holds a PhD in Computer Science specializing in AI-driven NPC creation.

With over 20+ years in higher and technical education, including 15+ years dedicated to gaming, he pioneered India’s first university- affiliated undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Game Art, Game Design, Game Development, and AR/VR Technologies.

Under his leadership academic frameworks were built to align curriculum design, evaluation systems, and quality bench marks with industry standards. Serving on the Boards of Studies for JNAFAU and Osmania University, Dr. Annaluri continues to advance gaming education nationally.

Kyodai Gameworks

Kyodai Gameworks is a full-fledged game development studio dedicated to crafting immersive, innovative, and genre-defining gaming experiences. From concept to launch, the studio is involved in every aspect of game creation — including development, design, and publishing.

Affiliated with the Backstage Pass Institute of Gaming, Kyodai Gameworks blends academic insight with industry expertise, pushing boundaries to deliver games that are not only fun and engaging but also refreshingly original. With a passion for storytelling and gameplay innovation, the studio continually explores new twists on familiar genres, setting the stage for the next generation of interactive entertainment.
